No, I didn't see anything. Considering he is a man who enjoys power, it wouldn't be surprising if he was trying to gather allies, or foot soldiers here.
I'm keeping an eye on the network for anything he posts.
[ Even if he did manage to force himself to eat something, he doubts he'd manage to keep it down. All of that terror and helplessness had left him queasy and weak. He didn't even notice that, right until Rey brought up food. Strange, how disconnected he feels from his own body. He's sore from the waiting room chairs, from sitting still and not moving, all his thoughts occupied with whether Eddie's body was going to make it, with all the damage that had been done to it. ]
[It's not a good idea right now, but she wanted to be on the safe side. He might get hungry later, and those snacks in those odd machines wouldn't provide the best nutrition. Rey was thinking of anything and everything Cisco may need. A care package to help him get through the night, or even the day.]
I'll take something, just in case you change your mind.
I'll be there soon.
[Rey ends the communication there, grabbing a small bag before heading out to grab two bottles of water for him, an apple, breakfast biscuits, and trail mix--the kind he liked. Simple things to help tide over hunger or thirst...assuming he felt either of those.
She made it to the hospital as soon as she could, spotting Cisco in the waiting area and immediately went to him. There are no words. There isn't a need for them, not when she can see how stressed and upset he is.
There's only a murmur of his name before moving to his side to hold him.]
[ Cisco stands up when he sees Rey coming into the waiting room. The signs of distress are subtle, and yet unmistakable. He looks smaller, younger, somehow lost. There are no signs that he's been crying, or raging, or any other great gestures of misery. But his nails are bitten to the quick, and his expression is fragile.
He moves to hug Rey without saying anything, glad that she is here. He's suddenly acutely aware of how delicate people are, how easily damaged. It's reassuring just to see her, to see and feel that she is entirely alright. ]
They won't let me see him yet. It's too soon after the surgery. They need to watch him, make sure there are no complications.
[ Rationally, Cisco understands it, and he's willing to go along with whatever procedures they think are best, to make sure Eddie is okay. But it's hard, sitting in this awful room, alone, wondering, silent, in suspense.
Even saying that much to Rey felt like a great burden; his voice is cracked and strange from not being used for so long. All his usual jokes and evasions and chatter - even in the face of sadness - are absent, now. The silence is somehow more awful than any sobbing could be. He just resumes his seat, staring off a little into the distance, lost and waiting until he can be with Eddie again. Once he's with Eddie again, it'll be okay. ]
[ jyn will be in the kitchen, tending to her herb garden since she didn't have much time to care for them when she was sick and subsequently unconscious. the little orange cat is sitting on the couch, batting at a tiny mouse toy. ]
[In a matter of minutes Rey arrives, knocking on the door before letting herself in. She didn't want to startle Jyn or Cassian, if he was there. The orange cat sitting on the couch doesn't surprise her, but she is pleased to see it's still alive. Not that she was doubting Finn's care taking skills, but how does one care for a cat?]
Hey.
[She moves over to the kitchen and places on an empty space Jyn's gift.]
thanks for the fighter....though, why Jedi? Didn't think you were one to believe in them.
Everyone knows about the Jedi, I figured you'd have at least heard the stories on Jakku. [ a lift of her shoulders as she brushes aside some leaves to water one of the plants. ]
I don't not believe in them. They were exterminated when I was a toddler, so I know they're real. People used to tell stories that maybe some of them survived but I not sure I believe that. My mother believed. [ her fingers instinctively touch her necklace. ] Chirrut was as close to a Jedi as I ever got.
