He had never asked about her past in that regard, assuming right off the bat that she was most likely inexperienced, given her age and the fact that she seemed to keep to herself when he had met her on Jakku. He had every intention to wait for her to come to him for anything physically intimate, not wanting to pressure her in anyways, but he realized that the blindfold might be more than she wanted to bargain for. He wasn't against exploring...spicier ways to have sex, but it seemed that he had gone ahead of himself here.
He moved back slightly, giving her the space he thought she might need from him, heat exploding on his cheeks:]
Hum, yes? I...I thought it would be a good compromise? So I could...kiss you without you seeing my face...I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable....we don't have to if you don't want to...
[He was truly sounding far from the assured bounty hunter he presented to the rest of the world, but truly, he didn't want to make Rey uncomfortable. He didn't want her to love him less because he wanting to kiss her and hold her more than she might do.]

He was putting aside his needs to make sure she was comfortable with being intimate with him.
Rey moved forward, closing the space he created. There was a shake of her head as she brought a hand up to gently run up his chest.]
It's a great compromise. I was... [She could feel her cheeks getting warm as she admitted:] Thinking the same thing.
[Her eyes forced on his visor, letting him seethe bashfulness play out on her features. Stars, she felt so...embarrassed, and yet it was slightly funny? In a 'great minds think alike' sort of way.]
I want to do this. [Rey confirmed in a soft voice, her hand running down his arm down to his hand that clutched the strip of fabric.] I trust you, Din.
[He could blindfold her, and she had complete trust he wouldn't take advantage of her. He wouldn't try to do anything untoward her. It would certainly make things...interesting between them. Though, Rey wondered if she would ever see his face. A question that wasn't too important presently. Not when she wanted to feel his hand roam over her body and feel his lips on her skin.]

Relief washed over him when she closed the gap between them, reassuring him that he hadn't read her wrong at all. He nodded once, his confidence quickly returning:]
Good, [He said as he moved to tie the piece of fabric over her eyes and behind her head]. I want you to promise me you will let me know if I move too fast for you. Or do something to you that you're not comfortable with, yes? I'll swear I'll stop, and that'll be it. No shame, no questions, unless you feel like telling me why.
[He needed her to know that he would always respect her boundaries, he needed her to know that this was all about herself and that he would never intentionally hurt her.
Once the blindfold was in place, Din moved her hands to his waist so that she could feel where he was when both of his hands left her to lift the helmet off his head. There was the soft hissing sound of the pressure seal breaking off and then the dull sound of metal hitting metal as he put the helm of a shelf nearby his cot. There was a nervous breath that left him when he took one of her hands and brought it up to his cheek, a silent permission to touch him, as his face turned so he could kiss her palm, just like she had done moments before.]

The word made Rey swallow her nerves, closing her eyes as the blindfold was placed over her eyes. A deep breath to calm the fluttering in her heart, listening to Din’s voice. He wanted her to promise him to be honest. Whatever she wasn’t comfortable with, she would tell him. He would stop.
No questions.
No guilt.
No shame.
They would go at her pace. If she wasn’t ready for something, she could tell him and nothing would change. He wouldn’t think less of her. He wouldn’t pressure her. Rey’s heart swelled, knowing how much thought Din was putting into this—into them.
It wasn’t going to be a fling. What was between them wouldn’t dissolve in a matter of seconds or minutes. It was real. It would grow, if tended to, if they continued to think of each other—protected each other, and cared for one another. ]
I promise.
[A vow she wouldn’t take lightly. One she would honor. She hadn’t tip toed around a situation before, and this? This wouldn’t be any different. But, she wanted to find out what he liked. What would make him gasp or sigh happily—what his voice would sound without the modifier.
Blindfold secured, he placed her hands on his waist. Rey found herself mentally visualizing the room, where they were in relation to the bunker, to the door. The soft sound of his arms moving up, the hiss of the pressure seal of his helmet adding to the image she was creating in her mind.
Her heart skipped a beat having her hand on his cheek—the faint feeling of roughness. Not clean shaven, but nearly close to it. His lips brushing against the palm of her hand sent another shock through her, making her bite her lower lip.]
….Din.
[She whispered his name like a prayer, hoping she wasn’t imagining the whole thing. Hoping she’d hear his real voice.
Her thumb brushed over his lower lip as she closed the distance between them. Her body moving to press itself against his, just like they had done earlier. She gently guided his head downward, slowly moving in for her to press her forehead to his. The ‘kiss’ they had been so used to sharing. Skin on skin.
Her nose brushing against his, breathing in his scent and although she couldn’t see his face, she hoped he could feel how much she wanted him—emotionally, and physically. There was no one else for her. ]
