[You'll be fine. It'll be fine, Rey told herself, taking in a deep breath as she headed into the quaint coffee shop, The Dark Side of the Mug. There was a steam punk vibe to the décor. A way for the shop to stand out among the many independent coffee breweries in Los Angeles. Rey appreciated the unique style of the place, and the puns they placed in their coffee names.

She pushed a strand of chestnut hair away from her face. She was tempted to gather her hair and place it in a messy bun, but that might give the impression was she more uptight. Which, on a given work day, she didn't care how others perceived her. Today though? She wanted to make a good impression on a cute guy from Tinder. So that meant styling her hair a little, wear a good pair of jeans that hugged her hips just right and a sweater that was comfy and cute. Practical, comfy, and it wouldn't send the poor guy running for the hills.

From their text conversations, Buck seemed sweet, and smart given his line of work. They seemed to vibe well in the digital space. Hopefully they would in the real world too.

In an effort to calm her nerves, Rey got in line to grab a small cup of coffee and waited for Buck at a two top table.]

"Mm yeah, we can work you out," Buck teases. He brings his hands up behind his head as he relaxes, then laughs when he hears her stomach rumble. "Am I gonna have to make sure you're fed, too?" It's easy for Buck to do that. He's a caretaker. He wants to take care of Rey.

"Just grab some of mine," he suggests. "I've got shirts and some shorts if you want." There's no need for her to go back home, especially not after getting intimate. They're not going out or anything, so she might as well be comfortable. "You can even take a shower if you want. I can reheat the food."

Buck’s teasing tone keeps Rey’s mind from spiraling. There was a part of her that wanted to hide from the embarrassment and minor shame from her lack of eating. Then there was another part that wanted to tell him she was fine, she could take care of herself. He was making a joke, he didn’t know how scare food could get at times for her or why she held off from eating. A quick deep breath helped her recenter herself.

“Ahh, not all the time. Promise.” No need to make it seem like she would be a burden to him.

“The day got away from me and I was really nervous about speaking with you again so…” lack of food which helped her in the long run? Meant they could have dinner together.

As for clothing…why did she get the feeling no matter what she borrowed from him, his clothes would swallow her? They probably would.

“If I could borrow a t shirt, I think I should be fine.” What guy didn’t like seeing their partner in a shirt and underwear?
