some of them even thought the whole universe did.
i think i probably know a few people who still think that.

an accurate and successful conclusion can only be made by repeat experiments.
i know for a fact that the crispiness differs between the two.

have you ever tried telling them otherwise? i think their heads will likely explode.

the perfect melting point of cheese is something i've been working on for a while now. i think it requires more brainpower than just one, though.

some scientists spend years on their work, but i think a few days should work fine.
should we test for variation between different toppings too?

i don't know if i'm intimidating enough for that to work for me. [ At least, not without the help of a spider suit. And even that wasn't really intimidating. ] i was thinking full hazmat suits, just to be safe.

i like your thinking, we have to control all the variables possible. i fully believe that the movie can make or break the flavor.
i can't do that to our fellow scientists. i'll get a full buffet of toppings choices.

as soon as possible, of course!

i bet that we could find them easy online.

i'm on my way! i'll be there in a flash.

[ Or, how ever long it will take to pick up pizza bagels and race over there. Probably fifteen minutes. ]

[ Maybe swinging through the city would have been the faster way to get to Rey's house, but for 1: it definitely drew a lot of attention to him, no matter how inconspicuous might have Peter attempted to be.
And 2: it would have been a thousand times more difficult to do with an armful of pizza bagel boxes -- truthfully, he probably would have lost a few on the way.

So, he opts for walking. His bookbag slung over his shoulder and two plastic grocery bags hanging from each of his arms, he makes it to Rey's house in just a little over fifteen minutes. And, struggling only in the slightest -- the boxes inside of the grocery bags don't make it very easy to maneuver -- he eventually manages to knock his knuckles (and the corner of one of the boxes) against the door. ]

[ Peter is actually pretty used to small living quarters, his apartment with his aunt isn't exactly the most lavish and extravagant thing in all of the city, maybe only a little bigger than Rey's, but definitely nothing for anyone to go writing home about. It has the basics, and not much more.

It's enough for the two of them, though.

Peter returns the smile with one of his own -- bright, wide and full of teeth -- paired with the best wave that he can give with his hands full as he shuffles inside. ]

No, no, [ He shakes his head, dismissively. ] don't worry about it! The Peter Parker Foundation is graciously providing all the funding for this. [ A beat. ] But, if you insist, you can foot the bill for the next experiment.

[ Free from one of the bags, he shifts the other into a more comfortable position around his wrist -- one that isn't threatening to cut off the circulation to the rest of his hand -- following Rey further inside and into the kitchen, setting the rest of the bags down with the others. ]

The toaster oven? I think it takes the least amount of time that way. I'm curious to know if the difference in cooking time has any effect on the end result. [ He laughs. ] You know, like when you nuke something in the microwave and it never tastes as good.

[ While Rey busies herself with one of the boxes, Peter starts unpacking the others, retrieving a few small bags of gummy candies and showing them off with a grin. There's no such thing as too many snacks. ] A movie, what do you have on hand?

[ He pauses, shoulders shaking slightly in laughter, one of his hands rubbing the back of his neck. ] Every time I would go to check on them, they would be only a few seconds away from being done. I thought it was probably just good luck the first couple of times, but it kept happening so... [ A shrug. ] It seemed too coincidental
