Jan. 3rd, 2016 09:03 amRey had experienced a whirlwind of events from locating Luke Skywalker's lightsaber to being pulled through time to meet the person who started it all; Anakin. The man was her grandfather, someone who was the 'chosen one' to bring balance to the Force. If that wasn't enough, she learned of her own powers and had to be trained to use them. It was an interesting time, spending weeks learning about the man and studying under him. They developed a friendship, a strange bond between two adults who happened to be generations apart. As much as she enjoyed her time with him, she was thrust back to her present time.
Anakin was right, it was like she never left. Everyone was still at the Cantina, looking for her. The First Order arrived...it was chaos.
But that was then, and this was now. She found out about Kylo Ren and the man he idolized so much. It pained her, no, angered her to know the same person she met had turned to the Dark Side. Rey kept her mouth shut to her cousin, managing to use the Force to keep him out of her mind and push him back. Now, she had a target on her back. The events didn't go well from there, losing her friend and semi-father figure, Han.
Now she was on a quest to find Luke. The man who could or could not be father. She didn't know how many children Anakin had, though she still remembered those strong Force visions of two children. Chewie and her managed to land the Falcon on the right planet, now she had to make the journey to find the Jedi. At least the time to herself would let her deal with her emotions. She was conflicted, angry, and hurt. From losing a friend to learning some of the truth about her grandfather...it was disheartening.

"But get back to the temple. Don't want them to think something happened--and didn't I tell you? You didn't clean the part well. Everything is working fine. "

Date: 2016-02-22 10:38 pm (UTC)He scowls at her, "I was hoping you'd forgotten." Of course she hadn't.
"And if they were really worried, I'm sure Artoo would've already told me I had half a dozen messages waiting from Obi-Wan or the Council about it." He wasn't really that late, after all. Probably. Though it was a little surprising there hadn't even been something small from Obi-Wan to check in on his former apprentice. Anakin's suddenly not certain whether that was a vote of confidence or a hint that something might be wrong.
Hopefully the former.

Date: 2016-02-22 11:45 pm (UTC)"So don't chance it. Head back to the temple to let everyone know or the council know you're alive and fine. After that, we can travel. Deal?" A compromise, a way to get Anakin to finish his mission and maybe a chance for her to see the temple for herself.
"Did you build Artoo?" She couldn't help but ask, curious about the droid. Did he like to build things like her or do all Jedi's get their own droids too.

Date: 2016-02-23 01:41 am (UTC)Then, "Artoo? Oh, no...he used to belong to the former queen of Naboo. She's a senator now and she...sort of gave him to me." When he says it like that, it sounds pretty unbelievable, now that he thinks about it.
And of course it's about impossible for him to disguise the way his voice warms when he talks about Padme.

Date: 2016-02-23 02:03 am (UTC)Oh, so he likes this Senator. Interesting. Even more interesting was the fact she gave him Artoo.
"I built my speeder and my own flight simulator. It's how I learned to fly," her voice goes soft then, both proud and shy about what's she's built and her training. However, she needs to focus back on this Senitor.
"I take it, you and this Senator are friends?"

Date: 2016-02-23 02:13 am (UTC)Of course it meant something, but keeping this particular secret was nearly second nature by now.
"How'd you make a flight simulator with no ship?"
no subject
Date: 2016-02-23 03:11 am (UTC)As for her flight simulator.
"It's a computer flight simulator. Its not s good idea to build a ship, considering someone would steal the parts, but I was able to construct a computer to use at home." She went into to explain during sand storms the flight simulator she used it to keep her mind sharp. Though she didn't tell him she set the simulations to extreme conditions.
Nor did she mention on the times when sandstorms lasted for days, she starved. No need to tell him that.

Date: 2016-02-24 02:53 am (UTC)Easier to listen to her explanation about the simulator. She doesn't really have to explain about sandstorms, at least. He's had experience. "Clever. I just tinkered with droids." Pause. "I built a protocol droid, once."

Date: 2016-02-24 03:29 am (UTC)She shot him a look of confusion. "Why did you build a protocol droid?"
Why did he build one? Boredom or just because he could? Whatever the case, they were getting closer to their final destination that left Rey nervous and excited at once. Dropping out of hyperspace was a lot smoother this time, or maybe she was too in awe to notice. She had never seen so many lights other than the stars in the sky. There wasn't anything like that on Jakku. Did she look like a child that had a new toy? Possibly, either way she was left in awe.

Date: 2016-02-26 02:25 am (UTC)Luckily, they come out of hyperspace and he doesn't have to elaborate on that. Much less depressing to instead watch Rey's expression as they approach the Republic capital. "The planet's one big city," he says.

Date: 2016-02-26 03:21 am (UTC)"...this is amazing.." She murmured softly, still in awe until he lands his ship. Oh....oh crap she actually had to get out now didn't she? Already there were droids coming over to check the ship out, to see if any repairs needed to be done.
"Did you want me to...?" Stay at his ship or go with him? She didn't want to do anything that could possibly get him into more trouble than he was already by bringing her.

Date: 2016-02-27 12:16 am (UTC)He definitely knew about her.

Date: 2016-02-27 01:23 am (UTC)"Alright, hold on..." She got out of the ship, careful to take her staff with. Rey never went anywhere without it.
"I never got to ask you, the Jedi don't visit the outer rim. What were you doing in that part of the Galaxy?"
no subject
Date: 2016-02-27 01:51 am (UTC)But he doesn't wait for an answer to that, "I mean, you're not wrong...they often don't go out that far especially if their presence isn't requested. I was just following a lead. I started on Candoria."

Date: 2016-02-27 03:20 am (UTC)"First Jedi I've ever met before, remember? If more of you came to the outer rim I would know. " or hear everyone groan about it. Now she was among so many Jedi it was surreal. She felt a little out of place but stuck to Anakin's side.
