Jan. 3rd, 2016 09:03 amRey had experienced a whirlwind of events from locating Luke Skywalker's lightsaber to being pulled through time to meet the person who started it all; Anakin. The man was her grandfather, someone who was the 'chosen one' to bring balance to the Force. If that wasn't enough, she learned of her own powers and had to be trained to use them. It was an interesting time, spending weeks learning about the man and studying under him. They developed a friendship, a strange bond between two adults who happened to be generations apart. As much as she enjoyed her time with him, she was thrust back to her present time.
Anakin was right, it was like she never left. Everyone was still at the Cantina, looking for her. The First Order arrived...it was chaos.
But that was then, and this was now. She found out about Kylo Ren and the man he idolized so much. It pained her, no, angered her to know the same person she met had turned to the Dark Side. Rey kept her mouth shut to her cousin, managing to use the Force to keep him out of her mind and push him back. Now, she had a target on her back. The events didn't go well from there, losing her friend and semi-father figure, Han.
Now she was on a quest to find Luke. The man who could or could not be father. She didn't know how many children Anakin had, though she still remembered those strong Force visions of two children. Chewie and her managed to land the Falcon on the right planet, now she had to make the journey to find the Jedi. At least the time to herself would let her deal with her emotions. She was conflicted, angry, and hurt. From losing a friend to learning some of the truth about her grandfather...it was disheartening.

Date: 2016-04-06 06:35 am (UTC)"I used to wonder sometimes when I was a kid what it'd be like to have a sibling." He glances over her, a wry tilt to his expression, "I always figured I'd be the older one."
yyyeeesss. Even possibly fighting each other
Date: 2016-04-06 06:39 am (UTC)"Is it living up to everything you hoped it would?" she joked, trying to imagine what would have happened if they did grow up together. If the Council would have taken in both of them...and maybe they could have saved their mother.
"I would just wonder when someone would come."

Date: 2016-04-08 07:26 pm (UTC)"I don't know," he says with a sly sidelong look, "I was thinking it'd be a brother. Though I guess," he adds, pointing a fork at her, "I didn't quite live up to expectations either."
But it'd worked out well enough for the both of them, he'd admit.

Date: 2016-04-09 05:31 am (UTC)The sibling bonding time didn't last as long as long as Rey would have liked. Anakin had to eventually go to the Council and they were forced to separated. Rey spent the remaining time in her room, finding herself dozing off. A fream started to take place, showing her and Anakin trying to strengthen their twin bond...but then things took a darker turn. She saw bodies piling up, the cries of men and women as they were slaughtered and standing in front of her, holding a lightsaber with blood dripping down the handle...Anakin.
Him, staring at her with yellow eyes, offering her a bloody hand. She could only stare at him in horror before raising her own weapon--one that glowed and brought it down on him. The hiss and crackle of blades meeting blades sang in the air. Both siblings fought, with Rey shouting, yelling, trying to convince her brother to stop.
"This isn't you! Anakin, please!"
evil!dream!anakin is a go
Date: 2016-04-09 06:58 am (UTC)She's good, of course, but he's been training far longer than she has and he's drawing on the Dark Side making his attacks stronger, his movements faster.
And he's not holding back.

Date: 2016-04-09 02:36 pm (UTC)"You're meant for other things, but not this. We didn't find each other to end up fighting." No, they were meant to do more than be at war with one another. What could she do to make him see that?

Date: 2016-04-11 06:57 am (UTC)Once again, he holds his hand out toward her, though he doesn't drop his lightsaber. "Join me and we can remake the galaxy."
After all, there was absolutely nothing that could stop them if they stood together. As it was, there was almost nothing that could stop him.
Except for Rey.

Date: 2016-04-11 02:52 pm (UTC)"Join you?" Rey repeats, shocked and concern on her features. He wanted her to join him? No, this wasn't her brother. Whatever had taken hold of him, she needed to find a way to bring him. But could she really fight against him? Could she bring herself to the point of killing him? No, there has to be another way...
"Discard your weapon...and I'll do the same..." She seemed like she was willing to give in, to join him, but all she wanted was the chance to talk. No weapons, nothing that could harm either of them.

Date: 2016-04-11 05:48 pm (UTC)Maybe, just maybe, he's willing to listen somewhere inside.

Date: 2016-04-11 06:51 pm (UTC)"Why do you want to do this? This goes against everything a Jedi stands for. "

Date: 2016-04-12 02:09 am (UTC)[ooc: figure he can do this and then she wakes up?]
As soon as her lightsaber leaves her hand, his expression darkens, "the Jedi are weak and you're a fool to follow them," he clenches the hand she's reaching for into a fist and she'll feel a sudden tightening of pressure around her throat. "And if you're not with me, you're my enemy."

Date: 2016-04-12 02:24 am (UTC)Without thinking, she got up to exit her room to go to Anakin's. In a matter of minutes she was standing outside his door, suddenly afraid to enter or call out his name.

Date: 2016-04-12 05:40 am (UTC)Only then does he realize who it is and he goes a little wide-eyed.
"Kriff."
Hopefully she doesn't overly mind seeing her brother half-dressed.

Date: 2016-04-12 05:50 am (UTC)Without thinking, she was able to tap into the Force, thrusting her hand out to push Anakin away from her.

Date: 2016-04-12 05:58 am (UTC)"What the hell, Rey?" he snaps as he shoves himself to his feet, gesturing toward her lightsaber (thankfully still unlit) in hand. "What are you doing?"

Date: 2016-04-12 06:08 am (UTC)"I don't know! I thought you were going to kill me and I reacted!" At least she wasn't trying to run, at least she was standing her ground. Though if Anakin looked at her, he'd see how pale she was from her nightmare. She took a deep breath and looked away from him.
"That look in your eyes said you were going to kill me..."

Date: 2016-04-12 06:22 am (UTC)Then he frowns slightly as what she says kind of sinks in, "why would you think I would kill you?"

Date: 2016-04-12 06:28 am (UTC)"That look in your eyes, it looked the same in my dream. We were fighting, and you..." she took a deep breath, finding herself getting emotional, feeling like she was about ready to lose him. She forced herself to keep herself focused on the present, not what ran through her mind.
"You wanted me to turn to the Dark Side. You wanted me to be at your side, and when I didn't..you used the Force to choke me."
no subject
Date: 2016-04-12 06:36 am (UTC)That didn't mean it wasn't disturbing.
Carefully, he sets his lightsaber down on one of the crates and opens his hands in a gesture of peace. "I have absolutely no intention of turning to the Dark Side and I certainly have no plans to choke you with the Force or otherwise." He smiles slightly, to lighten the atmosphere around them and this smile unlike the one in her dreams shows genuine affection, "even when you annoy the hell out of me."
no subject
Date: 2016-04-12 06:44 am (UTC)She doesn't calm down until his lightsaber is away from his person. Now on a crate and not in his hand, ready to try and stab one end of it into her. She looks at his hands then back to him, noting how his smile is actually real. Not just the ghost of one and his eyes are kinder, not ready to inflict violence.
Still shaken from her nightmare, she took a few steps towards him until she was embracing him again, hugging him, and letting her heart beat fall in sync with his. She didn't take to the joke, only holding her brother and trying to shake the nightmare from her mind.
"...you did though. You choked me in my dream and it felt as real as anything else.

Date: 2016-04-12 06:50 am (UTC)...well in this case he refuses to believe Rey's dream is anything more than just a dream. "You're safe. I would never hurt you, Rey. Never."
no subject
Date: 2016-04-12 06:55 am (UTC)"...I'm sorry..." she finds herself saying. Sorry for waking him up, for pushing him, for doubting him. Maybe, even for annoying him.
"I wouldn't hurt you either...I couldn't bring myself to do it." To fight, to harm or kill him.
no subject
Date: 2016-04-12 06:57 am (UTC)Then, "...huh. Guess you can't argue the Force thing anymore."
She kind of didn't have an excuse now.

Date: 2016-04-12 07:03 am (UTC)"I'm so sorry. I just reacted, I didn't mean to." Urgh, she didn't want to harm him. Did she need to look at his head to make sure he wasn't bleeding?
As for the Force, she bowed her head slightly.
"No, I can't but....too old, remember? Doubtful the council will say what I just did was nothing more than a fluke."
