Jan. 3rd, 2016 09:03 amRey had experienced a whirlwind of events from locating Luke Skywalker's lightsaber to being pulled through time to meet the person who started it all; Anakin. The man was her grandfather, someone who was the 'chosen one' to bring balance to the Force. If that wasn't enough, she learned of her own powers and had to be trained to use them. It was an interesting time, spending weeks learning about the man and studying under him. They developed a friendship, a strange bond between two adults who happened to be generations apart. As much as she enjoyed her time with him, she was thrust back to her present time.
Anakin was right, it was like she never left. Everyone was still at the Cantina, looking for her. The First Order arrived...it was chaos.
But that was then, and this was now. She found out about Kylo Ren and the man he idolized so much. It pained her, no, angered her to know the same person she met had turned to the Dark Side. Rey kept her mouth shut to her cousin, managing to use the Force to keep him out of her mind and push him back. Now, she had a target on her back. The events didn't go well from there, losing her friend and semi-father figure, Han.
Now she was on a quest to find Luke. The man who could or could not be father. She didn't know how many children Anakin had, though she still remembered those strong Force visions of two children. Chewie and her managed to land the Falcon on the right planet, now she had to make the journey to find the Jedi. At least the time to herself would let her deal with her emotions. She was conflicted, angry, and hurt. From losing a friend to learning some of the truth about her grandfather...it was disheartening.

Date: 2016-03-16 01:17 pm (UTC)Rey was thrilled to know Anakin would help her, unable to realize he may or may not try to keep her close. Right now she was happy to have her brother back, and to actually catch up. Assuming that is, the Council didn't want him to report right away and ship him back out again.
"Thanks, I'm hoping it won't take me too long to find something. But what was your last mission about? Or can you not say?" Because you know, Jedi had their own missions and she wasn't sure if it was secretive or not. Really, she wanted to talk, about anything and everything, and spend time with her twin.
[ooc: PPPFFFT, if Obi-Wan doesn't train her, second option....give her some job with Senator Palpatine.]

"It's not a secret, it was just a pretty standard border dispute. I mean, Obi-Wan handled the actual negotiations, I did the investigating into the allegations both sides were throwing at each other. It got pretty ridiculous."

Date: 2016-03-23 07:02 am (UTC)Rey follows after her brother, letting him lead them to where ever he wanted to go. Since coming to the Temple Rey has started to eat more. She wasn't starving anymore, but didn't take more than what she felt she needed. It was a hard mindset to break.
"You? Settling a border dispute? I wouldn't have guessed, I would have thought you'd be sent into a fight or....a battle." Considering, well, when they argued it was more fun than anything. Even when they were having a spat it was still fun, and utterly funny to keep teasing her twin. She couldn't view him the authoritative type, trying to dictate what would be best for both sides.
"That would explain why you're back so soon--not that I was counting." she totally was.

Date: 2016-03-25 06:53 am (UTC)"That's why Obi-Wan did the negotiating bits and I did the action-y bits. Makes for a pretty good division of labor, don't you think?"
He could be authoritative, but his idea of settling such things is generally not the sort of thing that would actually end in a properly peaceful resolution.

Date: 2016-03-25 06:58 am (UTC)Or if Obi-Wan teachers her, she could always shake her head at Anakin and ask what he was complaining about.]
"...Action-y? You couldn't think of a better word? You mean you persuade with action." She teased, continuing to walk with him to get a snack or more. Most of the other residents at the temple didn't seem to pay much attention to them. Except the young padawans who would just stare at how tall everyone else was.
"While a good division of labor, you'll actually have to find a way to use your words to solve disputes. But...I could be saying that because I don't want you to get into too much trouble. Not without me at least."

Date: 2016-03-27 01:32 am (UTC)"Use my words? You make me sound like a child."

Date: 2016-04-03 03:04 am (UTC)"I am," he answers promptly. "That's why I'm taller."
Not that that's saying much, he's taller than a lot of people.
[ooc: sorry for such a short tag after so long, I'm trying to get back in the groove]

Date: 2016-04-03 11:41 pm (UTC)The pot calling the kettle black.
"Would there be a way to find out? Just curious, that's all."
[ooc: It's okay! Thought of another idea! Them actually getting their blood tested and bam! High counts for her and Anakin. Or having a Force dream that both share and scares teh crap out of her.]
oops
Date: 2016-04-05 07:17 am (UTC)Because he doesn't entirely see how it would really change anything. They still have a whole list of things they can fraternally bicker about, after all. Either way, he starts scavenging for something for them to eat, moving around with the assurance of someone who's done this far too many times to count. Starting when he was still too short to reach the high cabinets.
[ooc: Force dream would probably work]
I was about to say, why hello there new person!
Date: 2016-04-05 07:23 am (UTC)She continues to follow him, not commenting on how easy it was for him to move about. He can pick whatever he wants to eat, she won't have anything. Right now she was fine, later though she would need something. Being at the temple has helped her gain some weight--helping to add muscle to her body. At least this way she isn't a starving twig.
[ooc: Hmm...dream of Anakin turning evil or one or both of them dying? Or something more dramatic?]
evil and her unable to help him? b/c obvs palpatine is going to cut anakin off from support
Date: 2016-04-06 06:35 am (UTC)"I used to wonder sometimes when I was a kid what it'd be like to have a sibling." He glances over her, a wry tilt to his expression, "I always figured I'd be the older one."
yyyeeesss. Even possibly fighting each other
Date: 2016-04-06 06:39 am (UTC)"Is it living up to everything you hoped it would?" she joked, trying to imagine what would have happened if they did grow up together. If the Council would have taken in both of them...and maybe they could have saved their mother.
"I would just wonder when someone would come."
Re: yyyeeesss. Even possibly fighting each other
Date: 2016-04-08 07:26 pm (UTC)"I don't know," he says with a sly sidelong look, "I was thinking it'd be a brother. Though I guess," he adds, pointing a fork at her, "I didn't quite live up to expectations either."
But it'd worked out well enough for the both of them, he'd admit.

Date: 2016-04-09 05:31 am (UTC)The sibling bonding time didn't last as long as long as Rey would have liked. Anakin had to eventually go to the Council and they were forced to separated. Rey spent the remaining time in her room, finding herself dozing off. A fream started to take place, showing her and Anakin trying to strengthen their twin bond...but then things took a darker turn. She saw bodies piling up, the cries of men and women as they were slaughtered and standing in front of her, holding a lightsaber with blood dripping down the handle...Anakin.
Him, staring at her with yellow eyes, offering her a bloody hand. She could only stare at him in horror before raising her own weapon--one that glowed and brought it down on him. The hiss and crackle of blades meeting blades sang in the air. Both siblings fought, with Rey shouting, yelling, trying to convince her brother to stop.
"This isn't you! Anakin, please!"
evil!dream!anakin is a go
Date: 2016-04-09 06:58 am (UTC)She's good, of course, but he's been training far longer than she has and he's drawing on the Dark Side making his attacks stronger, his movements faster.
And he's not holding back.

Date: 2016-04-09 02:36 pm (UTC)"You're meant for other things, but not this. We didn't find each other to end up fighting." No, they were meant to do more than be at war with one another. What could she do to make him see that?
no subject
Date: 2016-04-11 06:57 am (UTC)Once again, he holds his hand out toward her, though he doesn't drop his lightsaber. "Join me and we can remake the galaxy."
After all, there was absolutely nothing that could stop them if they stood together. As it was, there was almost nothing that could stop him.
Except for Rey.

Date: 2016-04-11 02:52 pm (UTC)"Join you?" Rey repeats, shocked and concern on her features. He wanted her to join him? No, this wasn't her brother. Whatever had taken hold of him, she needed to find a way to bring him. But could she really fight against him? Could she bring herself to the point of killing him? No, there has to be another way...
"Discard your weapon...and I'll do the same..." She seemed like she was willing to give in, to join him, but all she wanted was the chance to talk. No weapons, nothing that could harm either of them.

Date: 2016-04-12 02:09 am (UTC)[ooc: figure he can do this and then she wakes up?]
As soon as her lightsaber leaves her hand, his expression darkens, "the Jedi are weak and you're a fool to follow them," he clenches the hand she's reaching for into a fist and she'll feel a sudden tightening of pressure around her throat. "And if you're not with me, you're my enemy."

Date: 2016-04-12 02:24 am (UTC)Without thinking, she got up to exit her room to go to Anakin's. In a matter of minutes she was standing outside his door, suddenly afraid to enter or call out his name.

Date: 2016-04-12 05:40 am (UTC)Only then does he realize who it is and he goes a little wide-eyed.
"Kriff."
Hopefully she doesn't overly mind seeing her brother half-dressed.
