it wasn't, but it only lasted a couple hours all the stuff that happened last month was way worse if u ask me
okay. and you can trust eddie, for what it's worth. i do. more than anybody.
[ It's much less sordid than Cisco had been expecting. Anything that called itself 'The First Order' sounded pretty shady already, and what Rey says about it being an aggressive regime that wants to control the whole galaxy confirms that. So it's some kind of militaristic, imperialist, fascist space bullies, and Rey's worried for entirely understandable reasons. ]
the war isn't going to go on without them. or without you if you decide to go back. the people in charge of the portal say they can put people back at the same point in the timeline when they left. once they actually pinpoint your universe amongst all the others, they can return you there at the second you left. the reason it takes them so long is there are so many different universes, each one slightly different from the rest they wouldn't want to put people in the wrong one. anyway my point is, you don't gotta worry about the war going on without them think about all that stuff like it's on pause. as long as they don't die here or anything, they can be returned and can do their duty and all that.
[ Of course, even though all those things are true, he can't give the same reassurance that Rey shouldn't worry about the war coming to them. He takes special note of the name and thinks for a few seconds before he responds: ]
got it. i'll pass along the warning. though if you're gonna fight him you should have backup even if it's dangerous.
and while we're at it, if you hear of anybody named eobard thawne or harrison wells, don't go anywhere near them
[ Cisco's world might now have an interstellar war going on, but there are still bad and dangerous people. ]
