Rey was feeling anxious and nervous. She had followed the coordinates to Ahch-To, the world where Luke Skywalker had exiled himself to. The Luke Skywalker, the last Jedi, the one who helped bring down the Empire. She was meant to see him, give him his light saber and bring him back to General Organa. He was supposed to train her…and a million other things. There was so much weighing on her mind when the Falcon landed on Ahch-To. What if Luke wasn’t there? What if her coordinates were wrong?
What if she found him and he said no?
There was a part of her that argued he couldn’t say no. The fate of the galaxy depended on him agreeing to go back with her, and train her. The other part of her still considered it a strong possibility. The man had gone through so much, especially with losing his nephew to the Dark Side. What chance did she have of convincing him? No, she had to have confidence in herself. She wouldn’t have gone through so much for him to tell her no—and even if he does, she wouldn’t take that for an answer.
Luke needed to come back. He needed to know what happened to Han, what happened to Ben--Kylo Ren, and he needed to help bring the galaxy back in order. Breathe, she told herself. Just breathe and things would be okay. She could faintly hear Chewy and R2 coming back onto the the ship. They had left to briefly look around while Rey gathered the items she needed; her staff, the light saber, and food provisions. The map only took them to the planet, now it was up to her to find where Luke was. There was something calling to her, like a beacon. Perhaps it was the Force guiding her on where she needed to go.
She had everything she needed, but there was still one thing left. Rey looked over one of the control panels of the Falcon, making sure everything was fine. The last thing she wanted was for something to go wrong and not leave Chewy and R2 in good standing. She didn't doubt their abilities, but she wanted to make sure they were okay while she was gone.
